Gearing up for the 2010-2011 season
The lady Redhawks are getting ready for the '10-'11 season. The first meet to start off the season takes place this Friday against Big 10 school, Purdue. The Redhawks are coming off a second place finish at last years MAC Conference meet. Led by senior powerhouses Kelsey Vehr and Megan Brunn, the team has upper-class veterans to share experience and lead with confidence. Coach Jennings described his new freshmen class as "potential and development." Having the team start off its season against a big ten school sends a message that the redhawks are ready for competition. To set the tone of the season, the Redhawks participated in a Red and White meet October 2nd. The meet created a great atmosphere of team spirit and an opportunity for the girls to get up and race. With a great cast of upperclassmen and new young blood of freshmen ready to compete in college, this season is looking to be a good one.
