Opening Weekend

Miami opened their season with a visit to the Purdue Boilermakers.  Although the team feel 190-105, there were plenty of stand out performances.  Kelsey Vehr and Megan Brunn each posted individual wins for the team.  Vehr took first in the 100 breast and Brunn took first in the 200 breast.  The Redhawks posted second place finishes in the 200 fly and 1000 freestyle, Kelsey Mallon took 2nd in the fly and Miranda Kaltenborn took second in the 1000 free.  The divers from Miami also took second place in the 1 meter and 3 meter events.
While the Redhawks lost, their spirits were still high as the second meet came on Saturday versus Xavier at home.  Being homecoming weekend, there were plenty of alumni around to help cheer the girls on.  As the first home meet of the season, the girls look to take their first win of the season and share the moment with some alumni.  Results from the Xavier meet have not been posted and will be added when I revieve them.
